South Bend Stephen Ministry - 50 hr training

 Initial 50 Hours of  Training

Purpose: To promote Stephen Ministry by working together to provide the initial 50 hours of training. Application to become a Stephen Minister (pdf)

In 1995, it became obvious that offering the initial 50 hours of training in each of our local congregations was a huge investment of time. A group of three congregations joined together to offer this initial training to members of our congregations. From this humble beginning we now offer the 50 hours of training once or twice a year. Usually 12-20 trainees from 6-8 different congregations participate. It is coordinated by two Stephen Leaders from the network with the various modules presented by many different Stephen Leaders.

All Training begins at 7:00 p.m. except for the Saturday Retreats, which run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
