Dear Senator Bayh

Thank you for your efforts to reduce the violence in video games. However, we think that it is crucial to end the violence which our government has sanctioned and championed around the world, especially in the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. That is real blood, real destruction and real terror. The video violence plays into the need for the Bush administration and many other governments to keep wars going on and on and on.

Dear Rep Chocola and Sen. Lugar: ...

We hope that you and your family are well and secure.

Mr. Chocola has announced a recent granting of permission for our South Bend local VA clinic to expand health care in our northern counties. We are dismayed to hear that as many as 600 veterans are on the waiting list in this area. This is in addition to the several turnovers of location and personnel in that clinic since it opened. Continuity of care and proximity to care are essentials of good medical care.

This local need, as well as the enormous needs in the states hit by natural disasters this past year make it even more imperative that we end our operations in Iraq as soon as possible. We need all possible resources to be dedicated to restoring homes, lives, bodies and security here and to allocate a larger amount for relief and reconstruction abroad.

We are attaching a copy of the last week's US killed (2130) and a report of the number wounded (15,881) seriously enough to be counted.

We are asking that you initiate viable resolutions in the (House) Senate to reverse the calamities of the Bush administration response to 9-11, the immoral war in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the failure to provide relief for natural and medical disasters at home and abroad. Thank you for your help. Please do this now, before more death and destruction occur.

Sincerely yours,

Ellyn Stecker for the Michiana Peace and Justice Coalition
