Dear Senator Lugar:

It is time to close down the jail at Guantanamo Bay. It is an embarrassment of the greatest magnitude and a blot on the good intentions of most of our US citizens.

It represents one of the worst sides of the US and one that we can do without.

I would appreciate your viewpoint and your efforts in bring this perhaps well-intentioned initially, but now a horrible fiasco, to an end.
