Dear Senator Lugar:

We hope that you and your family are well. Unfortunately, due to our country’s actions, many in the world are not.

You have spent a lot of effort getting the former Soviet Union to safely dismantle its nuclear weapons. One action that we encourage you to take to avoid further destruction in the world is to vote against the nuclear bunker buster. There is apparently 8.5 million dollars allocated in the 2006 budget for this nuclear weapon.

As we sacrifice billions of dollars and thousands of lives to the idea of wiping out the never found weapons of mass destruction of Saddam Hussein, we should not be spending more money developing these types of weapons ourselves.

This is not what we want our country to do. We don’t want to become the world’s bully. Please vote against this bill and anything similar.
