Dear Senator Bayh,

We hope that you and your family and staff are well and secure.

Please ask President Bush to not come to South Bend this month for fundraising. The money he intends to raise is blood money. We are encouraging Rep Chocola to decline it. The war is totally inconsistent with their supposed pro-life positions.

We are approaching the end of the fourth year of military action in Iraq and Afghanistan. Over 2493 US troops have been killed, over 17,226 wounded, and many more will have mental wounds. Tens of thousands of civilians have been killed and many more wounded.

Your pro-war efforts are not consistent with your pro-fatherhood efforts. It is important that you use all your persuasive skills to end this war.
