The ESCA will again be sponsoring a Young Artist Competition, in cooperatioin with the Elkhart Community Schools. This year's competition uses the theme "Our Common Culture", with participants asked to explore the common themes that unite us all, regardless of culural differences or ethnic background.
The competition is open to middle and high school art stduents, and participants may submit works in any of three categories; two-dimensional works, three-dimensional works, and photographs. $800 in prize money will be awarded to the top entries.
Again this year, an exhibit of all the works will be held, November 6th-22nd , at the Administrative Services Center. New for this year however, the exhibit will also include works of art produced by students from our sister city of Burton Upon Trent. After the exhibit closes, our local winning entries will be sent to Burton Upon Trent and exhibited there in the Brewhouse Arts Centre.
