The opportunity to explore new cities, experience new cultures, and make new friends is one of the greatest benefits of getting involved with your local Sister Cities program. Elkhart and Burton upon Trent offer many local events throughout the year which appeal to the Sister City traveler. During the month of June alone, Elkhart festivals include Rhapsody in Green, the Elkhart Airshow, and the regionally renowned Elkhart Jazz Festival. September is alwsys a busy month in East Staffordshire, with the ten-day Burton Days Festival, the Burton Beer Festival, and the International Barrel Rolling Championships. 2001 SISTER CITY GROUP TOUR

The Elkhart Sister Cities Association is planning a group tour to Burton Upon Trent and the English Midlands during September 2001. The tour is open to the general public, and will include visits to such sites as Chatsworth House, Stratford Upon Avon, Warwick Castle, the world famous Bass Museum, and many more. Optional side tours to Bath or London may also be included. Planning is in the preliminary stages, but full details should be available by December 2000.
