AFP Michiana Chapter
2008 Salute to Philanthropy

Every fall the Association of Fundraising Professionals Michiana Chapter, in conjunction with National Philanthropy Day,  presents its annual "Salute to Philanthropy" awards. These awards recognize outstanding achievement in four categories:

Individuals and companies in Northern Indiana and Southwestern Michigan, whose voluntary contributions of time, talent, or treasure have made a significant difference in the quality of life throughout our region, are recognized.

Through these awards, participants are able to show appreciation for all that has been accomplished in the name of giving, as well as show that there is still more to do.  It's the nonprofit sector’s chance to step into the spotlight for a brief moment and remind our communities, our society and the world that the spirit of giving is alive and well.

If you would like to nominate an individual or organization for a "Salute to Philanthropy" award,  submit a Nomination Form by the October 21 deadline, or contact a member of the AFP Board.  (The nomination form may be saved to your computer and filled-in using Microsoft Word.)

The honorees will receive their awards at the Salute to Philanthropy Awards luncheon on Friday, November 21, 2008.  This year's speaker will be Dr. Gene Tempel, President, Indiana University Foundation. Download a pdf of the registration form.
