The Michiana Chapter of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals, in concert with the national organization, exists to foster the development and growth of fund raising professionals and of the profession itself, to preserve and enhance philanthropy and volunteerism, and to promote high ethical standards in the fund raising professions throughout the north central region of Indiana and southwestern lower Michigan.

Membership with AFP includes participation in both national AFP and local chapter programs. The Michiana Chapter, governed by local bylaws and administered by our board of directors, works actively toward the fulfillment of the AFP mission through:

• Monthly meetings featuring professional speakers.
• Networking opportunities
• Employment opportunity notification
• Creation of the Philanthropic Resource Library at the Franklin D. Schurz Library, Indiana University South Bend
• Annual Philanthropy Day workshops and awards
• A mentoring program
• Scholarships for professional advancement
